Gay-Mazing!: Will & Grace Reunion In The Works

Its been talked about for years but now it seems that all four key cast members “Will and Grace” really ARE ready to reunite with original producers and director James L. Burrows to film a reunion special for NBC. Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes are all “on board” to reunite the cast on the same sound stage at CBS where the hit show (along with Seinfeld, Mary Tyler Moore & Roseanne) was filmed. Shelley Morrison’s Rosie better be on board but Karen better be a littler gentler on the set as Shelly’s pushing 80! Here are some classic Karen gif moments in anticipation. The photos are bad, as well as what’s in them. Look closely at the details for inappropriate sculptures, feet sticking out from curtains and gravity-defying coat racks. In defense of some, maybe they were pre-iPhone? No excuse.real estate porn cold property bad photos

Yann Arthus Bertrand Photography Earth From Above Earth Day 2014
Yann Arthus Bertrand Photography Earth From Above Earth Day 2014 Today is Earth Day and I thought what better way to mark it than by looking at it – from above. But first, an alarming new statistic which will go unnoticed again, no doubt. As of April 20, the level of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere was 401.17 ppm. It has not been that high in MILLIONS of years according to climatologists:

“It’s the planetary equivalent of going to the doctor and hearing your cholesterol is through the roof,” said Bill McKibben, an author and co-founder of the group 350.org, “and our ‘leaders’ are like the patients who nonetheless won’t take their medicine, won’t stop smoking, won’t start exercising, and won’t change what they eat.”

On a lighter note, Yann Arthus-Bertrand is a well-known photographer and author of the hugely successful book Earth From Above, which was a ten year project. His book has been printed in 21 languages and has sold several million copies. Take a look at and go here to buy the book. You won’t be sorry. It’s one of those you can look at again and again. Oh and another statistic, there are 7,225,000,000+ of us on this blue marble at the moment.Yann Arthus Bertrand Photography Earth From Above Earth Day 2014

Emma Stone is on the cover of the new Vogue, which means that fashionistas around the country can get off their soap boxes – and ledges; the Kimye cover is now history. The interview with Ms. Stone contains this bit:

“[Stone] is the rare person in public life who will straight up tell you that yes, she has Googled herself. ‘I don’t usually like what I find. But some of it is really funny.’ Stone mentions Internet comments that referred to her as a ‘Bland Basic Bitch,’ which was probably meant as a dig, but she found it hilarious, to the point that at dinner she now begins to refer to herself as ‘That Bland Basic Bitch.’ Friends claim she isn’t swept up by fame. ‘She is just a breath of fresh air, she really is,’ says Octavia Spencer, who recalls meeting Stone before making The Help and thinking she was a precocious fourteen-year old. (‘The coolest little fourteen-year-old I ever met,’ she jokes.) Spencer and Stone remain close; she has Thanksgiving with Stone’s family. ‘What you see is what you get,’ Spencer says. ‘It’s not pretend or a feigned humility, it really is who she is.’”

Flash Foward: The 7th Annual Circuit Festival In Barcelona

I don’t care much about circuit parties or the Circuit Festival, this year, which is billed as the “7th edition of biggest international gay event” and the “ultimate summer holiday experience”. By the numbers, apparently it last for 12 days, features 20+ parties with 50 DJ’s and thousands of guys from around the world. Sounds like fun, if you like that sort of thing. What caught my attention was the creative promo from this – and last – year, with an alien and a spurned socialite. Watch.

works fair Peace Through Understanding New York flashback 1964 Worlds Fair Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the opening of the 1964/1965 New York World’s Fair. It’s starting to sink in what a MAJOR time this was in America. Think about it – in November of ’63, Kennedy was assassinated, in the new year, The Beatles arrived and played Ed Sullivan and then the third major world’s fair was held in New York City two months later. The fair’s theme was “Peace Through Understanding”, dedicated to “Man’s Achievement on a Shrinking Globe in an Expanding Universe” as was symbolized by a 12-story high, stainless-steel model of the earth called the Unisphere, which stands to this day. The fair ran for two six-month seasons, April 22 – October 18, 1964 and April 21 – October 17, 1965 and the admission price for adults was $2 in 1964 – about $15 in 2013 dollars, so it was relatively cheap. Maybe that’s why more than 51 million people attended. The fair is best remembered as a showcase of mid-20th-century American culture and technology – the Space Age, with its vista of promise. The fair also symbolized a giant consumer show that featured many products produced in this country for transportation, living, and consumer electronic needs. Most American companies from pen makers to auto companies had a major presence. It gave attendees their first interaction with computer equipment and many companies demonstrated the use of mainframe computers, terminals with keyboards and CRT displays, Teletype machines, punch cards, and telephone modems in an era when computer equipment was kept in back offices away from the public, decades before the Internet and home computers were at everyone’s disposal. Hard to imagine today but I wish we still had World’s Fairs in this country – we could start by restoring what’s left of the ’64 World’s Fair – take a look at how exciting it must have seemed.works fair Peace Through Understanding New York flashback 1964 Worlds Fair works fair Peace Through Understanding New York flashback 1964 Worlds Fair

I’m sure you’re not reading it here first (and if you are, you need some better news sources) but hold the phone, stop the presses, Katie bar the door – George Clooney is engaged! He has supposedly proposed to British attorney Amal Alamuddin, according to People. When news broke that they started dating last fall, one assumed she was yet another in a long line of “girlfriends” in the serial dater’s string. But the most eligible, confirmed bachelor on the planet reportedly proposed to the 36-year-old British lawyer, who specializes in international law and human rights, after just six months of dating. News of the impending nuptials started to burn up gossip lines after Amal was spotted wearing an engagement ring while she was out to dinner with the couple’s friends, supermodel Cindy Crawford and husband Rande Gerber. You know Clooney was previously married, to Talia Balsam and has since had much-publicized relationships with Sarah Larson, Elisabetta Canalis and Stacy Keibler. We shall see if this pans out. I think that Will & Grace reunion might happen first – but who knows? (photo, Pacific Coast News)Stacy Keibler Sarah Larson George Clooney engaged Elisabetta Canalis Amal Alamuddin

So, Billy Eichner says that, like Tyler Perry, he “hates art and is doing everything in his power to destroy it”. In this new game, Billy randomly ambushes people on New York streets (looks like 23rd St. to me) with Tyler Perry trivia and for every question they answer correctly, he destroys a piece of art right there. Full disclosure, I’m an artist and my ex used to work for Tyler Perry, so I might find this funnier than it actually is. And PS, that ain’t real art.
