The Takeaway from Last Night’s Girls
Living in LA, I never really “got” the cult of Jenna Lyons. All I’d ever seen were a few party pics, and sure she’s a handsome woman, but WOW. On last night’s episode of Girls (where she played Hannah’s new boss at GQ) you really got the full force of that extraordinary look. Her impeccable chic, with those hard lines and dry manner, is so compelling! It’s both WASPish and cutting edge! Who combines those two things? That’s CRAAAAZY. I just love her. Give her her own show! Better yet, she ought to expand her brand into lifestyle marketing and just TAKE OVER. Better than Rachel Ray. Better than Goopy. More fun than Martha. I would do whatever she told me to do.

Failure to Return Poor Movie Choice Leads to Incarceration
Don’t mess with the law in Pickens County, South Carolina! Seriously though, this is hard to believe. After committing a true crime against humanity by renting Monster-in-Law in 2005, Kayla Finley was jailed last night for failing to return this priceless cultural media some 9 years later. The video vixen reported harassment, or what some might call an issue of actual importance, at her local Sheriff’s office, where she was then incarcerated once police discovered an outstanding arrest warrant made by now-defunct Dalton Video. Personally I’d argue for J-Lo to foot the bill and serve some time.

Nigerian Hotel Serves Human Meat to Restaurant Patrons
Another reason to cancel that vacation to Nigeria. Police arrested 11 people after they discovered two fresh human heads wrapped in cellophane at a hotel very close to the popular Ose-Okwodu market in Anambra state. Details are as sketchy as a Nigerian prince who needs your bank account number to give you a million dollars, but it seems a pastor tipped off the police, telling them: “I went to the hotel early this year, after eating, I was told that a lump of meat was being sold at N700, I was surprised. So I did not know it was human meat that I ate at such expensive price.” Now, when you convert Nigerian naira’s to US dollars, N700 is only about $4.30, but it’s a poor country and I suppose $4.30 might very well be a lot for a pastor of littles means. (Of course, that’s what you get for ordering the “LUMP OF MEAT” daily special). A nameless vegetable seller from the area adds: “Each time I came to market, because the hotel is very close to the market, I always noticed funny movements in and out of the hotel; dirty people with dirty characters always come into the hotel. So, I was not surprised when the police made this discovery in the early hours of yesterday.” Make of this story what you will. Not much more information at the source, give it a whirl.

Olympian Gus Kenworthy is Hot, Saves Puppies
In light of Sochi officials contracting mass killings of all stray dogs, Olympian hottie Gus Kenworthy has crusaded to save as many doggies as possible by bringing them home to the land of the free. Teaming up with an unknown Russian billionaire (I am guessing anyone but Putin, who probably uses dogs as footstools), Gus has helped build tent camps to house the pups who would otherwise have nowhere to sleep. Gus’ Vine shows off his unique sense of humor but more importantly his Twitter is full of superfluous winkey faces, so interpret that as you will. Basically there is nothing not to love about Gus apart from this unfortunate tattoo.
