Well, I don’t know for sure, but these 40s ad execs were thinking about something besides drying off when they made up these concept boards. You can’t really say these ads are “gay” because they were aimed at housewives, but looking back they were about as suggestive as the time would allow. You couldn’t get away with it today, but they’re fun to look at. Yes, all you needed then was a few good men.
