Classify this under: “Ways I Will Not Be Dying: Falling Through the Broken Glass of a Bridge.” The world’s longest glass-bottomed walkway has opened in Shiniuzhai Geopark in Hunan. It spans 984 feet and is 590 feet above ground, and made with a double layer of glass that is (only?) 25 times stronger than regular window glass.. It replaced a rickety old wooden bridge, which was widely considered to be one of the most terrifying in the world; now, with its glass bottom, the bridge is already being referred to as “hero bridge.” As in: You are a hero if you make it across. No thank you.
