Kim Kardashian may have busted the internet with her Paper pics but now she’s taking it on the road. Last night Paper magazine had a dinner at 1111 Lincoln Road for her and that already infamous issue in the giant Herzog and deMeuron garage. Am I bitter I wasn’t invited? No. Why should I be? I’m an artist who comes to Art Basel every year, I know Kim & David for 30 years and helped them design the first issues of Paper, so why would I get invited? Just kidding. (Sort of) I would love to have been invited, but so would most of the people in Miami this week. Kim gets slagged off right and left (not by me!) but the haters you KNOW would LOVE to get a selfie with her. DIE to. I’ll bet Mickey Boardman protected her from the onslaught.
Well, we had a nice dinner OURSELVES last night at the new Ian Schrager Marriott collaboration, Edition Hotel. V magazine had their party out by the pool, and we had a delicious dinner after in Market by Jean Georges one of two gigantic restaurants, the other being Matador. The whole vibe is very chic and very Schrager. Think Delano, 2014. And once again, where’s the “art in Art Basel?
